Government Exists To Serve The People, Not The Other Way Around.

Let’s build a County Government
that works for the people of District 6.

District 6 Deserves Results - Not Just Titles

Public service matters. Community involvement matters. Experience matters.

But titles, committee memberships, and even prior time in public office don’t automatically translate into results – safer roads, reduced flooding, stronger schools, or more attainable housing.

Downtown Annapolis is a vital part of our community, and it deserves strong, effective representation. At the same time, District 6 includes many other neighborhoods, families, small businesses, and communities across the county, and they all deserve the same focused attention and results.

My focus is simple: measurable results. Residents should be able to point to clear improvements in affordability, traffic flow, environmental protection, and neighborhood quality of life.

Leadership isn’t about how many boards you sit on or whether you held public office in the past. It’s about whether life gets better for the people you represent.

I’m running to bring an execution mindset to county government – clear priorities, measurable goals, and accountability for outcomes.

A Practical Plan For District 6 Anne Arundel County Annapolis

I’m Dominik Prokop, a longtime Anne Arundel County resident and a business owner, and I’m running for County Council in District 6.

Government exists to serve the people, not the other way around. Too often, it feels slow, unresponsive, and disconnected from the people it’s meant to help. I’m running to bring common sense, accountability, and real-world problem-solving back into local government, and to make sure District 6 gets the attention and respect it deserves.

Why I’m Running

I’ve been a successful business owner in Anne Arundel County for over 20 years. I’m also an immigrant who came to the United States in my late teens with little more than determination, worked every shift I could, and built my businesses by showing up, learning fast, and refusing to quit.

That experience taught me how systems work and how they fail when they stop listening to the people who rely on them.

I’m not running for prestige or personal gain. I’m running because I believe local government should work better, faster, and with respect for residents, families, and small businesses.

How I’ll Serve District 6

As your County Councilmember, my focus will be practical and results-driven:

  • Listening first and responding faster to residents’ concerns
  • Holding county agencies accountable to clear service standards
  • Improving transparency, so people can see how decisions are made and how money is spent
  • Removing unnecessary barriers for families and small businesses trying to move forward

Twenty years of meeting payroll teaches you something about fiscal responsibility: every dollar matters, and every dollar should reach the people it’s meant to serve. I’ll bring that discipline to County spending, auditing every dollar so it reaches our classrooms, our roads, the Bay we love, and the public safety we count on.

Focused On District 6

District 6 is a special part of Anne Arundel County. It’s home to families who care deeply about strong schools, safe neighborhoods, responsible growth, and protecting the quality of life that brought them here in the first place.

Our district includes established neighborhoods, small businesses, waterfront communities, and growing families – all with different needs, but a shared expectation that county government should be competent, responsive, and fair.

I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all solutions. I believe District 6 deserves representation that listens carefully, understands local concerns, and advocates effectively, every single day.

What You Can Expect From Me

I don’t pretend to have all the answers, and I won’t make promises I can’t keep. When I don’t know something, I’ll say so, do the work, and seek expert advice. When mistakes happen, I’ll take responsibility, correct course, and improve outcomes.

My commitments are real. Some goals will take time. Others will require collaboration across agencies and levels of government. I will be transparent about progress, timelines, and limitations – and I will always put the interests of District 6 first.

A County Government That Works For The People

District 6 deserves a County Councilmember who understands how things actually get done – someone who respects hard work, values accountability, and treats residents like partners, not obstacles.

I would be honored to earn your trust and your support.

Let’s build a county government that works for the people of District 6.

My Priorities

A Plan Built On Results, Not Politics

District 6 is at a crossroads, and it’s time for a government that is accountable to the people who live here, not to donors, developers, or special interests.

My plan is a roadmap for a stronger, more accountable community, built on my twenty years of building and managing real organizations and on values that haven’t changed.

From ensuring our schools prepare students to lead and protecting our unique environment from over-development, to cutting red tape for small businesses and restoring transparency in county government, my focus is on practical solutions that put people first.

Together, we will build a District 6 where growth is responsible, our schools are world-class, and every family has the opportunity to thrive.

RealVote App Collage

I Built a Tool to Make This Real.

Most government decisions get made behind closed doors and announced as final. RealVote turns that around. RealVote is a free app that lets you see the issues coming before the County Council, vote on where you stand, and send your representative a clear signal, in real time, before the vote happens. No more guessing what your community thinks. No more finding out after the fact. RealVote is live for District 6 today and built to scale to every council member, delegate, and senator who is willing to be held to the same standard. Transparency and real-time constituent input should be the standard for every elected official, not the exception. Download it. Use it. Demand it from every official who represents you.

Stay Informed, Stay Involved.

District 6 has never been a place that lets things slide quietly. We are the neighbors who pay attention. Sign up and we will keep you informed about what’s coming up before the County Council, what’s at stake, and how to make sure your voice is part of it.
